Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1:Arrival in Djibouti
As soon as you land in Djibouti city, our team will be there to pick you up and take you to your hotel. Relax for a while and get ready for a city tour of Djibouti if time permits according to your arrival time. Visit the bustling markets, taste the local delicacies, and witness the vibrant culture of the city. In the evening, head back to your hotel and rest for the night at Ras Dika hotel or similar.
Day 2: Day 2:Visit South Circuit and Sunset in Lac Abbeh
On day two, head to the southern part of Djibouti to explore the famous South Circuit. This area is known for its stunning scenery, including towering volcanoes and salt flats. The circuit will take you to Lac Abbeh, a surreal saltwater lake that is surrounded by eerie chimneys and stunning rock formations. Spend the afternoon exploring the lake and surrounding area before settling in to watch the sunset over the lake. Overnight in Lake Abbe at the Lake Abbe camp.
Day 3: Day 3:Sunrise in Lac Abbeh & Visit Lac Assal and Surroundings
Start your day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Lac Abbeh before heading to Lac Assal. Known as the lowest point in Africa, Lac Assal is a salt lake that offers visitors the chance to float effortlessly in the buoyant waters. Afterward, take a drive to explore the stunning Grand Bara Desert and the nearby town of Tadjourah. In the evening, return to Djibouti city for a relaxing night. Overnight in Lake Abbe at Lake Abbe Camp.
Day 4: Day 4:Djibouti City - Whale Sharks
On day four, it’s time to head out to sea for an unforgettable experience swimming with whale sharks. These gentle giants are found in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tadjourah, and visitors can join a guided tour to get up close and personal with these majestic creatures. After the tour, spend the rest of the day exploring Djibouti city at your leisure. Overnight in Djibouti city at Ras Dika hotel or similar.
Day 5: Day 5:Departure from Djibouti city to Hargeisa.
Upon your arrival in Hargeisa, our team will be there to assist you with immigration procedures, ensuring a smooth entry into the city. You’ll then be picked up and transferred to the Damal Hotel, where you can settle in. After checking in, if time permits, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Hargeisa’s lively streets, experience its vibrant markets, and visit one of the city’s must-see attractions—Seyladda, the renowned livestock market. You’ll spend the night in Hargeisa, allowing you to rest and prepare for the adventures ahead.
Day 6: Day 06 : Hargeisa-Laasgeel-Berbera
After breakfast, you will embark on a morning road trip to Laas Geel, where you will explore stunning Neolithic rock art and admire ancient paintings that provide insights into early civilization. Continuing your journey, you will visit Berbera, a city renowned for its Ottoman-era architecture, strolling through the old town to appreciate its intricate designs and rich cultural significance. In the afternoon, you will unwind at Berbera’s picturesque beaches and resorts, taking in the serene coastal views and capturing memorable photographs.
Day 7: Day 07 : HARGEISA-MOGADISHU CITY TOUR
Depart from Hargeisa to Mogadishu. Upon arrival at Aden Adde International Airport, receive immigration assistance and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a tour briefing followed by a drive along Makka Almukarama Road to experience local life. Visit key sites including the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Italian Parliament, and Il Palazzo del Parlamento. Relax with a boat ride and stroll at Lido Beach, then explore Mogadishu Mall, Hamarweyne Market, and a rooftop café near Mogadishu Cathedral. End the day watching the sunset at Peace Park and Airport Beach before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Day 08 : FULL DAY MOGADISHU
Start at Mogadishu’s Central Fish Market to see fresh seafood, then visit the Lighthouse for coastal views. Stop at Hamarweyne for local crafts, drive through historic Shanghai Old City, and tour Bakara Market by vehicle. See camel camps, enjoy seafood lunch, relax with swimming and a boat ride at Abaydhaxan Beach’s crystal-clear waters, then visit Nimow Desert Dunes before returning to your hotel.
Day 9: Day 09 : DEPARTURE
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then check out. Transfer to the airport for your flight. No sightseeing final day
