Djibouti is one of the tiniest and least known countries in Africa, rich in lakes, dormant volcanoes, and forests. It is impossible not to be captivated by the strikingly beautiful landscape of this tiny country, such as Lac Abbe with its limestone chimneys and Lake Assal with its lush greenery and waterfalls. Tadjourah, also known as The White City, is a city with whitewashed buildings and a well-deserved rest on the beach of Sable Blanc. Perhaps the most lasting impression will be the people we will meet – who are proud of their country and have a legendary sense of hospitality. With influences from African, Arab, and Indian Ocean cultures, Djibouti carries an energy that more popular destinations can’t match!
