Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MOGADISHU.
Upon arrival at Aden Adde International Airport, receive immigration assistance and transfer to your hotel. After lunch and a brief tour orientation, drive along Makka Almukarama Road to observe local life. Visit the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, Italian Colonial Parliament, and Il Palazzo del Parlamento. At Lido Beach, enjoy a boat ride and scenic walk along the Indian Ocean. Continue to Mogadishu Mall and Hamarweyne Market, then relax at a rooftop café overlooking the historic Mogadishu Cathedral. End the day at Peace Park and overnight stay.
Day 2: FULL TOUR IN MOGADISHU
Start at Mogadishu Fish Market, then visit the historic lighthouse and explore Hamarweyn’s old streets and market. Take a bajaaj ride through downtown Mogadishu before driving through Shanghai Old City, passing the bullet-riddled former U.S. embassy. Visit Bakara Market, the Black Hawk Down site, and military tanks. Stop at camel camps—Somalia is home to 7 million of the world’s 15 million camels. Visit traditional crafts at Heritage Hotel. Drive to Abaydhaxan Beach Resort for a boat ride, swimming, and Somali tea served with popcorn and dates. Day 3: DEPARTURE & ARRIVAL IN GAROWE–EYL ROAD TRIP
After breakfast, fly to Garowe, get immigration assistance, and drive 225 km through Nugaal to Eyl, stopping in Salaam for Somali lunch and camel milk tea. Arrive for sunset, check into Eyl Resort, enjoy seafood dinner, Qaaci music, and night movies at Eyl Mountouus.
Day 4: EYL TOUR -GAROWE
At dawn, climb the historic Italian lighthouse fort for panoramic views before returning to the hotel for a hearty breakfast of goat liver and Anjeer (Somali pancake). Continue to Daarta Sayidka Fort and the Eyl Garden, then visit the stone throne of Sayid Abdulla Hassan—the “Mad Mullah” to the British Protectorate. As the area is hilly, sturdy hiking shoes are recommended. Next, explore the open-air art museum, relax on Eyl Beach, swim, and enjoy a boat ride. Return to the hotel, check out, and gather your belongings for the drive back to Garowe, stopping once more at Salaam village for a short break. Upon arrival in Garowe, visit the Hiddo Raac Cultural Centre for a glimpse of Somali traditions, then head to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: DEPARTURE
After hotel checkout, arrive at Garowe Airport 2 hours before departure. Our team will assist with immigration and boarding. Safe travels!
