It is known as ‘lion’s paw’, and despite the fact that lions are no longer present here, this well-watered region is still home to a variety of wildlife such as kudu, hyena, gazelles, baboons, and leopards. Ga’an Libah is situated at the top of an escarpment and receives more rainfall than most of the country. Many parts of the town are thick with trees and the birdlife is also quite good.
